TGV Lyria
TGV Lyria is the 55/45 joint venture between SNCF Voyageurs and SBB CFF that operates TGVs between France and Switzerland. Paris-Geneva in 3 h 11, Paris-Zurich in 4 h 04, Paris-Basel in 3 h 04, Paris-Lausanne in 3 h 41: 4 daily direct services from Gare de Lyon.
TGV Lyria, France-Switzerland high speed
TGV Lyria was set up in 1993 at the initiative of SNCF and SBB to unify the operation of TGVs to Switzerland. The fleet today consists of TGV 2N2 Euroduplex trainsets (Alstom) commissioned from 2012, offering 512 seats over two decks. Four main corridors: Paris-Geneva (3 h 11, 8 round trips a day), Paris-Lausanne (3 h 41, 6 round trips a day), Paris-Basel (3 h 04, 6 round trips a day) and Paris-Zurich (4 h 04, 6 round trips a day).
Two classes, plenty of space
TGV Lyria offers 2nd class (Standard) with 2-2 seats, free Wi-Fi, sockets at every seat, and 1st class (Standard 1ʳᵉ or Business 1ʳᵉ) with wide 1-2 seats, welcome service, at-seat catering in Business 1ʳᵉ, and access to the Lyria Salon at departure stations. The "Bistro Lyria" bar car offers hot dishes, sandwiches and drinks throughout the journey.
Fares and cards
The Lyria Min fare offers €29 for Paris-Geneva, €39 Paris-Basel, €45 Paris-Lausanne, €49 Paris-Zurich in 2nd class (sales open 4 months ahead). Prem's sales start at €29 in 2nd and €49 in 1st. SNCF Avantage cards, the Swiss Travel Pass (with reservation coupon) and SBB cross-border season tickets are accepted. Reservation is mandatory on every TGV Lyria.
