From idea to European comparison engine
The key milestones that shaped Gopaxo since its creation. The ambition remains intact: lower the cost of access to European mobility by making comparison trivial.
2023
First trips compared
Gopaxo was born from the observation that a Paris-Barcelona trip could cost three times more depending on the booking site. A first version connects four French operators and opens to the public in November 2023.
Spring 2024
Tictactrip integration and 500+ carriers
We rely on the Tictactrip API to access the largest European inventory of trains and coaches. The engine jumps from a few dozen to 500+ companies in six months.
Autumn 2024
Launch of the ±3-day price calendar
The engine now computes the minimum price across a ±3-day window around your chosen date, helping flexible travellers smooth out costs.
2025
Coverage of 160 countries
Deployment across the whole of Europe, with expansion to regional networks and airport shuttles. Coverage reaches 160 countries.
Early 2026
Public carrier directory
Every carrier now has its dedicated SEO page: network, on-board services, baggage, pricing and FAQ.
April 2026
Gopaxo MCP opens
Gopaxo becomes the first French multimodal comparison engine to expose its tools via the Model Context Protocol.

Gopaxo is operated by an independent French team with product, engineering, data and support profiles. We don't belong to any carrier — this guarantees neutral results.
How does Gopaxo make money?
Gopaxo earns a commission from partner carriers when a booking is finalised. The displayed price is the carrier's official price — no service fees, no subscription.
Does Gopaxo sell tickets?
Gopaxo compares prices and redirects to the carrier site for booking. Payment, issuance, support and cancellations are handled directly by the company.
Which countries is Gopaxo available in?
The comparison engine covers 160 countries. Europe is the core, but we also list North-American, Asian and African operators.
Why compare several modes for the same trip?
Because the obvious option isn't always the best. Paris-Amsterdam: train beats plane door-to-door; Paris-Barcelona: train rivals low-cost flights when you include CO₂ and airport transfers.
