How the multimodal comparison engine works

Gopaxo is a multimodal cheap-ticket comparison engine that aggregates, in a single search, train, bus, carpooling and plane offers. We list more than 800 carriers across 160 countries and display, for each route, the cheapest, fastest or most ecological option. Booking and payment then take place directly on the partner site you choose.

You enter your trip (departure city, arrival city, date and passengers). We query in real time the train operators, bus operators, carpooling platforms and airlines, then display every available offer sorted by price, duration or carbon footprint. When you select a ticket, you're redirected to the partner site to securely complete your purchase.

Yes. Using our comparison engine is entirely free for travellers. We add no service fees on top of the ticket price: the amount displayed is identical to the one offered by our partner at the moment of the search.

No, no account is needed to search a trip and compare prices on Gopaxo. A customer account may, however, be required at booking, directly on the partner site that issues your ticket.

Gopaxo earns a referral commission from its partners when a traveller books a ticket after comparison. This commission is paid by the partner and is never added to the price of your ticket.

We aggregate more than 800 carriers: European rail operators (SNCF, Trenitalia, Renfe, DB, ÖBB, Eurostar, OUIGO, Italo, etc.), long-distance bus operators (FlixBus, BlaBlaCar Bus, Alsa, Eurolines), carpooling platforms (BlaBlaCar, Mobicoop) and the major airlines (Air France, Vueling, Ryanair, easyJet, Transavia, Lufthansa, etc.), as well as authorised official distributors. The available list varies depending on the route searched and the coverage of our feeds.
